Program Outline

The program for camp will be at a relaxed pace with plenty of free time each afternoon for families to rest and enjoy the campsite and its surroundings.

Activities planned for the week include:

  • Adventure Days out including a visit to Wow Illusions where things are not as they seem, and some fun rock scrambling on a scenic coastal walk
  • A dusk beach walk, spotlighting for possums and a Musty Dusty Ball (wear something from the back of your wardrobe!)
  • Water skiing/biscuiting, kayaking, giant tube, games and other beach actitivites

Each day a ‘Familytime’ is planned for after breakfast, where everyone joins in a variety of teaching, games and activities inclusive of all ages. We also have adults only discussions over food and beverages in the evenings, based around the same theme (when all the kids are in bed).  This year we will explore the book of Galatians.  The teens and younger adults also have some fun chaos planned each evening after the discussions.

This years theme is “Listening to God”

We will explore ways of listening to God, individually, with our families, in community to bless & benefit Banksia Grove and beyond.

You will have the opportunity to pause and learn more about yourself and your family, faith/God, and the implications for community life in our Neighbourhood and beyond. You will also have a heap of fun and make some fantastic friends.

About Camp Geographe

Located on Cave Rd between Busselton and Dunsborough, Camp Geographe is a beachside campsite for family groups, children and young people. It is basic but comfortable, and superbly located among the attractions of the South West.

Accommodation is in 8 bed (4 bunk) or 5 bed (2 bunk) cabins, with a separate ablution block. The campsite has 7 cabins (15 rooms), a central hall, dining room and commercial kitchen, an oval, volleyball, BBQ’s, campers kitchen, undercover areas and playground. It is set among shady peppermint trees and has direct access to the beach on Geographe Bay.

Applying For Camp

This Camp is primarily for families connected to the Cheers Neighbours Network and involved in the local Banksia Grove (and surrounding) Community.  Due to limited spaces on camp, please confirm cabin availability with Sally prior to booking in if you are outside the Banksia Grove area.

In order to maintain the dynamics of the camp, we request that only those who can commit to the complete five day program register.
