Awareness Dinner: New Supporters Moved to Tears by God’s Grace at SU’s Inaugural Dinner for Friends

September marked an exciting new initiative for SU WA when we hosted our inaugural Dinner designed to raise the profile of SU. The evening was an opportunity to invite friends who are not current supporters and to introduce them to our work with children, youth and families. More than 100 Christians from different churches gathered at Lake Gwelup Christian Church to hear Professor Bruce Robinson AM and Child Protection Worker Tammy Pitman. Tammy moved the audience to tears with her wonderful story of how God rescued her and met her in the person of Jesus Christ when she was a foster child on SU WA camps. Tammy now volunteers regularly to lead camps, driven by a fierce zeal to serve God in this way because “someone might meet God like I did.” Khim Harris
