School Camping is a partnership between schools and the SU team.
Based at Camp Geographe in Busselton, we run camps to grow and develop students and introduce them to the Christian faith. Through outdoor activities, leadership development or retreat-style programs, SU school camps use reflective learning and community living to develop students’ skills in leadership, decision-making, teamwork and positive life choices. Going on an SU School Camp is a powerful life and faith development experience for students
The Camp for Student Leadership is a new SU initiative, offering an intense residential education experience for year nine students from WA Christian Schools. The camp curriculum focuses on leadership development and spiritual growth.
Christian schools will express interest in the program first, and if successful in being allocated a place, will then select one or two teams of year 9 students from their school community. It is preferred that each team selected would comprise of 6 students. In 2019 SU are offering the following programs:
5-day Camp for Student Leadership – Term 2, Week 3 (13-17 May);
12-day Camp for Student Leadership – Term 3, Week 8/9 (9-20 September)

Canvas Campout Camps
This camp option is available for students from year 5 to year 12 and includes a one night ‘under canvas’ camp out experience. Canvas campout camps combine a range of on-site activities with a one night campout and are well suited to large cohort school groups that want the benefits of a small community experience. These camps are also well suited to smaller school groups that want to incorporate an under the stars experience into their program.
Day camps are for students in Kindergarten through to year 12, and provide a range of options to suit the school and student’s needs. These are commonly facilitated as stand-alone day experiences, but can also be facilitated as lead up and/or follow up days to a residential camping program.
