SU WA Summer Camps applications are reopening from Monday 26th October.

Camp application openings will be staggered progressively over three days. This will be on the following schedule:

9am Monday 26th: Glen Echo 3

12.30pm Monday 26th: SUPA Splash and Camp Odyssey

9am Tuesday 27th: Glen Echo 1

12.30pm Tuesday 27th: Sailing and Beach Camps

9am Wednesday 28th: Glen Echo 2

You will not be able to apply for a specific camp until after the time listed for it above. We will not be taking phone applications.

Please note

Due to venue capacity and COVID restrictions, camps have a limited capacity and this is different for each camp and for each gender combination on different camps. As a result, registering your child does not automatically mean they have a place on camp. We will acknowledge receipt of your application but you will receive a followup email confirming if you have a place or are on a waitlist and requiring full payment to reserve your position. We aim to send this to you in a week from application.

The situation around Covid 19 Coronavirus is rapidly changing. We are reviewing all Australian state and federal government declarations and guidelines about Covid-19 and this includes today’s announcement advising against mass gatherings as of Monday.

At this stage we are not planning to stop any ministry activities, but we will be monitoring the situation and all government announcements in relation to this. In response to today’s announcement regarding mass gatherings, we will review all our plans and protocols on Monday morning and on an ongoing basis and advise people accordingly.

For now we have put a number of protocols in place for SU programs, to reduce the risks of infection for volunteers, participants and staff. These include containment and exclusion guidelines. Volunteers and participants will be briefed on these as they prepare for their programs.

We acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus and His purposes and are also doing what we can to be prudent and prepared for this situation. We want to continue sharing the love of Jesus with the people of WA as much as possible, whilst protecting all people associated with SU – participants, staff, volunteers and others – from infection or contagion. We also want to comply with directions from authorised public health officers and the government.

Let’s pray into this and for people and for SU ministry. Jesus is Lord!

We’ve been collecting information about SU Camps and God has been at work in young people’s lives. This little graphic captures the impact of our camps from the first two seasons of the year. Your investment of time and support is bearing fruit in the lives of young people. 84% of our camp participants moved significantly closer to Jesus. Yay! Thanks for being part of the SU movement.

Leavers Ningaloo and Melbourne were a blast with 132 campers across both trips. SU Leavers continues to be a pivotal place for the school leavers who head to camp, especially in owning their own faith. 2019 sees a new leavers program: Leavers Road Trip. Exciting times!

Great, telling quotes from Leavers Ningaloo:

“One thing I’ll do after camp: go to church for the first time in 6 years”

“My past mistakes don’t define me”

“I already follow Jesus but have allowed sin to overtake my life, on Leavers I was inspired to refresh my faith”
